Found in the southwestern U.S. Eats rodents, frogs, and other lizards. They are one of the very few venomous lizards in the world, a trait that they share with the Komodo Dragon. These lizards are often described as appearing "beaded" due to their round, colorful scales

The Long Spined Horned Lizard has a rounded body and blunt snout, which seems to make the lizard resemble a frog. The Long Spined Horned Lizard is also commonly known as a "horned frog" because of this.

Adults range in size to between 17 and 30 inches. Has raised scales above its eyes. Females tend to be larger than males.

Grow in length to 7.5 inches or more. Somewhat smooth with a crest on the top of its head. Skin is venomous enough to kill a dog.
